一. Overview of bolts

Bolts, mechanical parts, cylindrical threaded fasteners with nuts. Bolt: A type of fastener consisting of a head and a screw (a cylinder with an external thread), which needs to be matched with a nut to fasten and connect two parts with through holes. This form of connection is called a bolted connection. If the nut is unscrewed from the bolt, the two parts can be separated, so the bolt connection is a detachable connection.

According to the force of the connection, it is divided into ordinary and hinged holes. According to the shape of the head: there are T-shaped, hexagonal, round, square, countersunk and so on. Among them, the hexagonal head is the most commonly used. Generally, countersunk heads are used where connections are required. The application is very wide.

There are many names for bolts, and everyone may have different names. Some people call them screws, some people call them bolts, some people call them standard parts, and some people call them fasteners. Although there are so many names, they all mean the same thing, they are all bolts. A bolt is a generic term for a fastener. The principle of the bolt is to use the physical and mathematical principles of the oblique circular rotation of the object and the friction force to gradually tighten the tool of the utensil mechanism.

Bolts are indispensable in daily life and industrial manufacturing, and bolts are also known as the rice of industry. It can be seen that the bolts are widely used. The application scope of bolts includes: electronic products, mechanical products, digital products, electrical equipment, electromechanical products. Bolts are also used in ships, vehicles, hydraulic engineering, and even chemical experiments. Anyway, bolts are used in many places. Especially the precision bolts used in digital products. Miniature bolts for DVD, cameras, glasses, clocks, electronics, etc.; general bolts for televisions, electrical products, musical instruments, furniture, etc.; large bolts and nuts are used for engineering, construction, and bridges; transportation equipment, aircraft, trams, automobiles etc. are used together with large and small bolts. Bolts have important tasks in industry. As long as there is industry on the earth, the function of bolts will always be important.

Wheel Studs vs. Wheel Bolts: The Key Differences

While both wheel studs and wheel bolts serve the same general purpose — holding wheels onto vehicles — there are some key differences between them, such as their insertion method, their ease of use, where they’re commonly used, and the number of additional parts required for installation. We’ll look at a few of these differences below.

Wheel Studs vs. Wheel Bolts: The Key Differences

What Are Wheel Studs and Wheel Bolts?

Wheel studs have a threaded shaft, an unthreaded body, a ribbed neck (usually), and a flat head that’s usually round (but not always).
